The Advancing Hispanic Excellence in Technology, Engineering, Math, and Science (AHETEMS)
Application Deadlines: Varies
AHETMES is a series of scholarship opportunities for Latino students studying engineering, math and science. There are both merit-based and need-based scholarships, ranging from $1,000 – $5,000, for Latino high school seniors, undergraduate students and graduate students. Applications can be completed online or on paper, but only one application is necessary for all AHETMES scholarships. Eligibility requirements differ for each scholarship, but all require a minimum GPA of 3.0 and full-time enrollment (current or planned) in a science, technology, engineering, or math discipline. Application requirements include a personal statement, transcript, letter of recommendation and resume, as well as an application form.

Ann Arbor AWC Scholarship for Women in Computing
Application Deadlines: March 17, 2015
Each year the Ann Arbor chapter of the Association for Women in Computing (AWC), awards one or more scholarships through the AWC Scholarship Fund for Women in Computing held at the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation (AAACF). The scholarship recognizes outstanding women pursuing a career in a computer-related field and is open to female students participating in an institution accredited for higher education in Washtenaw County.

Astronaut Scholarship Foundation
Application Deadlines: Scholarship candidates must be nominated by faculty and be attending a cooperating educational institution (see website)
The Astronaut Scholarship is awarded only to students during their junior or senior year of college. At the time of nomination, students must be at least sophomore status, have excellent grades and have conducted a considerable amount of research and lab work in their field. Scholarship nominees must be students of engineering, natural sciences, applied sciences, mathematics with intentions to pursue research or advance their field upon completion of their final degree.

Davis Putter Scholarship Fund
Application Deadlines: March 31, annually
Scholarship for student activists including undergraduate and graduate students. Applicants must be involved in issues that impact society, such as civil rights, economic justice, international solidarity and other issues that are progressive in nature. Applicants must be living in the USA and plan to attend school here, but do not need to be US citizens.

Development Fund for Black Students in Science and Technology
Application Deadlines: Varies – obtain from science or engineering department at participating college
An endowment fund which provides scholarships to African-American undergraduate students who enroll in scientific or technical fields of study at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).The amount of the scholarships awarded each student is determined by either the National Merit Negro Achievement Scholarship Program or by the DFBSST Independent Scholarship Committee. Scholarships are based on merit and financial need. Applications can be obtained by contacting the science or engineering department of one of the schools listed. We do not distribute applications directly to students.

ESA Foundation Computer and Video Game Scholarship
Application Deadlines: May 15, annually
In 2007, the ESA Foundation established a scholarship program to assist women and minority students who are pursuing degrees leading to careers in Computer & Video Game Arts. In 2009 we extended this opportunity to graduating high school seniors and doubled the amount of awards granted from 15 to 30. The scholarships are offered for full-time undergraduate study at accredited four-year colleges.

Executive Women International Scholarship Program
Application Deadlines: March, annually
This scholarship for women is open to female high school juniors who demonstrate outstanding leadership and business potential, who plan to attend college in the US and pursue a degree in business or a professional field of study. 750 word essay required.

Executive Women’s Forum INI Fellowship

Carnegie Mellon University’s Information Networking Institute (INI) and Carnegie Mellon CyLab have partnered with the Executive Women’s Forum (EWF), sponsored by Alta Associates, to offer a full scholarship to an incoming INI graduate student in information networking or information security.

The Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship

In her honor, Google is proud to honor Anita’s memory and support women in technology with the Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship. Google hopes to encourage women to excel in computing and technology and become active role models and leaders in the field. Google Anita Borg Scholarship recipients will each receive a financial award for the academic year. A group of female undergraduate and graduate students will be chosen from the applicant pool, and scholarships will be awarded based on the strength of each candidate’s academic background and demonstrated leadership. In addition, all scholarship recipients and finalists will be invited to attend a retreat at Google. We know how important a supportive peer network can be for a student’s success. The retreat will include workshops, speakers, panelists, breakout sessions and social activities scheduled over a couple of days.

Google Summer of Code 2015
Application Deadlines: March 16 – March 27, 2015
Google Summer of Code is a global program that offers students stipends to write code for open source projects. We have worked with the open source community to identify and fund exciting projects for the upcoming summer.

HENAAC Scholarship Program
Application Deadlines: April 30, annually
The HENAAC Scholars Program addresses the immense need that the United States has to produce more domestic engineers and scientists. The goal of the program is to ensure STEM college retention with a 3.0 grade point average or higher; to guarantee college graduation with an undergraduate technical degree in four-five years; and, to contribute to Hispanic communities by producing STEM role models for future generations and securing the country’s place as the finest technological leader in the world.

Jack and Jill African-American Scholarships
Application Deadlines: June 1, annually
These scholarships for African-American women and men are offered to high school seniors planning to attend a 4 year college full time, in any state. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Funds may be used for tuition or board. Dependents of members of Jack and Jill are not eligible.

Paul and Ellen Ruckes Scholarship
Application Deadlines: May 31, annually
The Paul and Ellen Ruckes Scholarship provides one (1) scholarship of $1,000 to an undergraduate or graduate student studying in the field of engineering or in computer, physical or life sciences.
S-STEM (Scholarships for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)

To encourage more Hispanic students to enter STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields, The National Hispanic University is using a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to offer scholarships to academically qualified students who want to complete a two-year college degree in mathematics, science, or computer science at the university.

S-STEM (Scholarships for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)

To encourage more Hispanic students to enter STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields, The National Hispanic University is using a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to offer scholarships to academically qualified students who want to complete a two-year college degree in mathematics, science, or computer science at the university.


The Siemens Competition
Application Deadlines: April 1, 2015
The Siemens Foundation, in partnership with the College Board, established the Siemens Competition. The Competition promotes excellence by encouraging students to undertake individual or team research projects in science, mathematics, engineering and technology or in combinations of these disciplines. Note: Siemens Employees whose children are currently in their junior year should apply for this scholarship program. Siemens Merit Scholarships will be awarded in the spring of the student’s senior year.

Stokes Educational Scholarship Program
Application Deadlines: November 15, annually
The Stokes Educational Scholarship Program (formerly known as the Undergraduate Training Program) was proposed and introduced into legislation in 1986. Its purpose is to facilitate the recruitment of individuals, particularly minority high school students, who have demonstrated skills critical to NSA.

Xerox Technical Minority Scholarship
